Accelerated Freefall CourseAccelerated Freefall Booking Form The Freefall course is the most advanced method of learning to skydive. In total, it comprises a minimum of nine ‘stages’ or jumps Each jump builds on the skills learnt in the previous stage. Students progress through the nine stages at their own pace under the guidance of qualified instructors. A number of solo jumps are then required beyond Stage 9 in order to gain an international ‘A Licence’ from the Australian Parachute Federation (APF). Training for Stage I takes about 6-8 hours. Ideally, your first jump will take place on the following day. Remaining jumps should be done in reasonable succession. Long delays between jumps can slow progress through the stages. Stages I to 8 are all from 10,000 — I4,000ft and can be recorded on video, which is invaluable as a training aid. Stage 9 is a completely ‘solo’ jump from 4000ft. Students should be fit, weigh less than 95 kilograms and be at least 16 years of age (under 18 requires a parents or guardian’s authorisation). Advance bookings are essential Stage I After approximately 6-8 hours training, passing a practical and written exam you are ready to make your first jump which is generally planned for the following day. You exit the aircraft from between 10,000— 14,000ft with two instructors holding onto you and guiding you through your freefall drills and safety procedures. At 4000 ft you open your parachute and complete your canopy checks. You fly and land your parachute under the guidance of a ground-based qualified instructor using radio communication and visual signals. $465 Stage I includes everything you need to go skydiving: 6-8 hours training; 3 months membership with the APF; the plane ride to altitude; state-of-the-art parachuting equipment; all necessary skydiving clothing; 2 professional skydiving instructors; a qualified pilot; an experienced photographer (optional); a first jump certificate and personal logbook detailing your skydive. Stage 2 & 3 Stages 2 & 3 are under direct supervision of 2 instructors. These jumps build on safety procedures and freefall skills in a gradual preparation to release you in freefall. $295 each Stage 4 to 8 Stages 4 to 8 are under the supervision of one instructor. Working on the awareness of body position you will be guided through a range of freefall skills: solo exits, turns, forward movement, dive exits, back loops, fast Stage 9 Your first solo jump from 4000ft. This jump is to familiarise you with exiting the aircraft at lower altitudes. Each jump price includes a full briefing and all preparation necessary for each jump. Students are taught canopy control from their first jump and are assisted by a target assistant, using ground to air communication and or a visual signal system. Generally most students are landing with minimum assistance by jumps 4-5. Advance Bookings Essential To confirm your booking, please call us on (02)4322 9884. Kind Regards. |
